It’s Christmas Eve. And like nearly every year, I’m at my in-laws house, the kids are asleep and I am hiding in the guest room with my laptop.
That sounds worse than it is. I love my in-laws, I’m just completely wiped from the last few weeks and my social threshold isn’t very high even when I’m at my best.
I’m not at my best.
I normally prefer reading—or writing—to hanging with extended family anyway. Add to it a dangerous lack of sleep, and a too long car trip to get here? Oh, they’re lucky I didn’t take my dinner plate to the bedroom! LOL
Being that we’re nearly to 2019—CRAZY—I wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday season and an amazing new year! And I also want to gift everyone a holiday theme freebie.
If you were part of my reading group two years ago, you might remember Drawing Penises. In fact, two years ago exactly, on Christmas Eve I sat in the passenger seat of a car on my way to my in-laws house for Christmas and wrote this short little flash for my newsletter.
Early this year, I released Drawing Penises as an Amazon Exclusive and starting Christmas morning, through December 29th, you can pick it up for free.

If you’re like me, I spend the week of Christmas and the days through to New Years as a chance to catch up on my holiday reading. The weeks before are so packed full, I sometimes do my holiday reading well into January!
This year, I have a couple of recommendations for you late readers.
Up! by Al Stewart and Claire Davis is a perfectly magical YA with winter, art and holiday magic. Up! is free on most online retailers accept for Amazon—Amazon is stubborn that way—so make sure to check it out. Just click HERE!
Goldilocks and the Bear by Clare London. The blurb says it all … One week, two men, three Christmas trees.
And hopefully a fairytale romance. It’s a fantastic and fun holiday treat! Click HERE and check it out!!
